Scott Adams’ ideas on it all are beneath this top part
Navigating the treacherous waters of political awareness can often feel like playing a video game where the difficulty level increases with every stage, but instead of zombies or dragons, you’re dodging fake news and spin. Let’s embark on this humorous journey through Scott Adams’ Levels of Awareness in politics, shall we?
Level 1: The Blissful Ignorance Stage
Here, you’re happily ensconced in the cozy bubble of your preferred news outlet, blissfully unaware that there’s a whole world of counterarguments out there. You might as well be a hobbit in the Shire, thinking the only evil in the world is Lobelia Sackville-Baggins stealing your spoons. This is often seen with MSNBC and CNN viewers who are just removed from all reality, drowning in racism and and anti-logic, and supported by fake science.
Level 2: The “My Team is Better Than Your Team” Phase
At this stage, you’ve bravely ventured out of your bubble, sampling news like a buffet. Whatfinger News is perfect for readers in this phase. But just like at a buffet, you only really trust the chicken nuggets (your sources) and eye the sushi (other sources) with deep suspicion. “Sure, I know what you’re about,” you say to the sushi, “but I’m sticking with what I know.”
Level 3: The Conspiracy Theorist Lite
Welcome to the level where you’ve donned your tin foil hat, but it’s more of a fashionable accessory than a necessity. You’ve realized that all news has more spin than a DJ at a disco, but you still hold a candle for the experts. “They’ve got degrees and stuff, they must know a thing or two,” you muse, ignoring the fact that your horoscope has been more accurate lately.
Level 4: Trust Issues Galore
Ah, Level 4, where your trust in experts has evaporated like water on a hot skillet. “Experts, schmexperts,” you scoff, “they’re all just puppets of the almighty dollar.” You’ve become the Sherlock Holmes of verifying information, minus the deerstalker hat and the cocaine addiction. You saw what took place in the election of 2020, and have heard RFK Jr. speak about his father’s assassination and his uncle, the President. You know something is very wrong in the world and evil is afoot.
Level 5: Seeing the Matrix
You’ve made it to the penultimate level, where you suddenly see the world for the giant puppet show it really is, with billionaires and shadowy figures pulling the strings. You realize the Republic looks nothing like what the Founders intended unless the Founders intended a reality TV show. “I knew it,” you whisper, as you dust off your copy of “1984.” You have watched how media all sound the same and at this point you now know what the Mockingbird media is (click to know it). Now you understand who is pulling the strings, at least at the initial level.
Level 6: The Epstein Level – Game Over
Congratulations, you know too much. Welcome to the Epstein Level, where the only way out is… well, there isn’t one. You’ve seen behind the curtain, and let’s just say it’s less “The Wizard of Oz” and more “The Sopranos.” We’d love to tell you more, but then we’d have to—[This section has been redacted for your safety]. This is when you now see the AG lie about Epstein on video, lie about the election and fraud, and now you know they are all actors on a stage, playing against you.
And there you have it, the laughably treacherous ladder of political awareness according to Scott Adams. Remember, in the game of politics, sometimes the only winning move is not to play—or at least to play with a healthy sense of humor and skepticism. Stay safe out there, and may your news be ever trustworthy (or at least entertaining).
Below is Scott Adam’s original post on it….
Levels of Awareness in politics
Level 1 They believe what their preferred news say and do not sample other sources. Not aware of counter arguments. Not aware their news is mostly narrative.
Level 2 Sample news from multiple sources but believe only their own sources are accurate. Think the other side is all narrative, but familiar with all sides of issues.
Level 3 Aware that ALL news is fake, at least in the sense of missing context and spin. Also known as Gell-Mann Amnesia. But still believe the experts in various fields are usually correct.
Level 4 Understand that NONE of our experts are reliable. Some might be right, not none can be trusted without verification. The distortion of money makes no expert credible.
Level 5 They see the gears of the machine, Mike Benz style. The Republic no longer looks like whatever the Founders intended. The control of powerful billionaires and intelligence professionals is now obvious.
Level 6 You are dead because you know too much. Also known as Epstein Level. Scott Adams
