Facebook and several other apps under its parent company, Meta, experienced a significant outage, affecting thousands of users. Instagram, Threads, Messenger, and even Meta Quest headsets faced issues, with users reporting difficulty in logging in or accessing these platforms. Interestingly, YouTube, which isn’t part of Meta, also had problems around the same time, although some users found a workaround by logging in through their Google accounts.
Meta quickly addressed the issue, with Andy Stone, the director of communications, explaining that a “technical issue” was to blame. The company worked fast to fix the problem, and services were back to normal within approximately two hours. During the outage, a large number of users reported problems on Downdetector—a website that tracks outages. For example, around 500,000 Facebook users reported issues, and Instagram and Messenger also saw tens of thousands of outage reports. Users encountered messages like “something went wrong” or found themselves logged out unexpectedly.
Meta’s response was swift, with their status page indicating “major disruptions” and their spokesperson assuring the public that they were working on resolving the issue. The number of reported problems began to decrease significantly about an hour and a half after they first spiked.
In a separate but serious matter, the US defense sector has been targeted by China-backed hackers, exploiting vulnerabilities in Ivanti’s enterprise VPN application. This concern was highlighted by FBI Director Christopher Wray and confirmed by the US National Security Agency. The hacking group known as Volt Typhoon has been particularly active, infiltrating critical infrastructure sectors like communications, energy, and water. They’ve been able to remain undetected for extended periods, even years, by using sophisticated techniques such as proxying traffic through compromised routers. This situation underscores the growing threat of cyberattacks and the importance of cybersecurity in protecting national infrastructure.
With Biden and the Democrats, along with their RINO allies permitting thousands of Chinese troops straight from the PLA to infiltrate the U.S. over the Southern border, and then paying these forces to wait wherever stationed, ready to attack, it makes one wonder if Trump is 100% right. A Manchurian President inhabits the White House and is doing all he can to help China and hurt the United States.
More on it all…
REPORT: Joe Biden has secretly flown 320,000 illegal immigrants from Latin American airports to 43 U.S. cities. Treason. It gets even worse. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection is refusing to identify which airports they are being shipped to. “The program at the center of the FOIA litigation is perhaps the most enigmatic and least-known of the Biden administration’s uses of the CBP One cellphone scheduling app, even though it is responsible for almost invisibly importing by air 320,000 aliens with no legal right to enter the United States since it got underway in late 2022,” said journalist Todd Bensman (
@BensmanTodd) “Under these legally dubious parole programs, aliens who cannot legally enter the country use the CBP One app to apply for travel authorization and temporary humanitarian release from those airports. The parole program allows for two-year periods of legal status during which adults are eligible for work authorization.” Insane. – Collin Rugg
